The sex siren of Bollywood, Kim Sharma was a model who made a successful entry into Bollywood with Mohabattein. She has appeared in several Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. She was also seen in an English film titled ‘The Whisperers’ and a Pakistani Urdu film ‘Godfather: the Legend Continues’.
Kim Sharma was born on 21st January, 1980 in Ahmednagar, India.
Her complete name is Kim Michelle Sharma. Her father is a businessman and her mother a housewife. Kim is the cousin of Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal.
She did her schooling from a boarding school in Panchgani.
Kim Sharma first started her career with modelling. On a trip to Mumbai, she went through an audition for Close-Up toothpaste and was selected.
After the Close-Up commercial, many others followed like Sunsilk, Pepsi, Tata Safari, Ponds, Fair & Lovely, Clean-n-Clear and Liril. Modelling was not the only thing Kim indulged in. She also tried her hand at music videos like Lata Mangeshkar's 'Paayoji' and Ali Haider's 'Purani Jeans'.
Sharma caught the eye of producer Aditya Chopra, and he signed her on his next directorial venture titled Mohabbatein. The film also marked the launch of five other newcomers, Uday Chopra, Jugal Hansraj, Jimmy Shergill, Shamita Shetty and Preeti Jhangiani. Mohabbatein also starred superstars Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. It was a huge hit and started Kim's career in Bollywood.
She has worked with top bollywood stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Rekha, Shahrukh Khan, Vinod Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Suniel Shetty, Arbaaz Khan, Dino Morea, Shahid Kapoor, Jimmy Shergill, among others.
Her seven years in the industry have been disappointing, as she has not had a hit since Mohabbatein.
She acted in Telugu movie "Khadgam" and also appeared as a item number dancer in "Magadheera", "Yagam".
The 5 feet 3 inch high, Kim Sharma loves to travel , read fiction and shop. She loves to stay in touch with her friends via social networking sites but was extremely upset when her account was hacked recently.
She was dated with Jugal Hansraj, whom she met on the set of Mohabbatein. Later she was dated Indian Cricketer Yuvraj Singh, but now they have parted ways.
Kim Sharma is now engaged to Carlos and the two are planning to tie the knot soon. Carlos Marin is a vocalist and a member of the very successful Spanish band named II Divo. The two met at the airport lounge in Canada when Kim was returning to India and Carlos was going back to London. The couple was recently seen in New Delhi at Surily Goel’s launch of IPL collection.
It is expected that Kim Sharma will appear in the music video of Carlos’s next album dedicated to their relationship.
